In the present lines, it is intended to give a glimpse of the influence of Renaissance art, specifically painting (cultural phenomenon between the 1300s and 1600s) on the architecture of the city of Medellín, so far in the 21st century. How some features of proportion, design, volume, perspective and perfection have been maintained in the urban development of the city of Medellín, an influence that, over time, and more specifically in the last two decades, has not been strongly represented in the architecture of the city, but which nevertheless retains some details of Renaissance painting. The main urban focus of architecture in our days, seeks the improvement, creation and projection of the best conditions that can favor the human being and harmonize it with the environment, in these elements we can find the common factors that unite that ancient classical era, with the innovative Medellín of the present and the futureen_US
